We aim to inspire, push the boundaries, question long held beliefs and opinions, believe in good practice.
At Our Own Expeditions, preserving culture heritage is a vital part of each and every tour we offer. We are passionate about sharing our culture and history with every tour we create. Our Horse Riding Tour was just that. This tour evolved from our deep involvement with the preservation of Butrint National Park; we understand that while the actual site is of great importance, the surrounding landscape is as well. It was natural to want to share the value of the perimeter of the site and its importance, what better way than on horse back? We believe that preservation of the natural environment and respect of local community is imperative for the future of an authentic Albania.

We strongly believe that Albania has a wonderful opportunity to learn from many mistakes other well known destinations have previously made. We like to think of it as maybe one of the only benefits of coming late to the game of tourism.” Through tours they were able to build two schools and one hospital in the south of Albania. Today in 2017, they are working on promoting one of Albania’s most remote mountainous regions in the South, Nevice.
